Profil hostesses in Lyon for the Replenishment Conference of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria

The 6th Replenishment Conference of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Malaria and Tuberculosis was held on 9 and 10 October in Lyon.

Organised every three years, this event should enable countries and the private sector to announce their donations to participate in the international fight against these diseases.

On the agenda, an ambitious but achievable goal: to save 16 million lives and prevent 234 million new infections in the coming years.

The target of raising $14 billion (12.7 billion euros) in commitments to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria for the period 2020-2022 was achieved thanks in particular to an effort by France and the Bill Gates Foundation. The call to step up the fight, by increasing contributions by at least 15%, has paid off. The record amount is expected by the Global Fund to save an additional 16 million lives and end epidemics from the three diseases by 2030.

20 hosts and hostesses from the Lyon Profil agency were present at the Cité Internationale of Lyon on 9 and 10 October 2019 to welcome participants, provide accreditation, manage the cloakroom and luggage, guide participants, manage conference rooms, distribute translation headsets, manage protocol reception, etc. All these missions are part of our expertise in event reception.

On October 9, 2019, a dinner gathering Emmanuel Macron, Bill Gates and the singer Bono of the group U2 was held at the Hôtel de Ville de Lyon – city hall of the City of Lyon – whose reception and management of the cloakroom was also provided by our hostesses.
